Journalist and Storyteller

Over the past nine years, I have worked as a criminal justice journalist and content creator. I began my career at The Crime Report, a non-profit criminal justice news resource based at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I eventually became deputy editor. I later worked as a public safety reporter for WNYC and Gothamist. I have also published stories for Youth Today, the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, the Local Initiative Support Coalition, the Center for Employment Opportunities, and Forbes. My reporting has primarily explored topics including justice reform, rehabilitation, police training, whistleblowers, police sexual misconduct, sex work, school shootings, and, most recently, the restaurant industry. When I am not writing, I work as a bartender in Brooklyn, New York, where I live with my wife. As a young boy, I truly believed I’d be writing comic books, sci-fi movies, and stuff about dragons by now.
