Journalist and Storyteller
Over the past nine years, I have worked as a criminal justice journalist and content creator. I began my career at The Crime Report, a non-profit criminal justice news resource based at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I eventually became deputy editor. I later worked as a public safety reporter for WNYC and Gothamist. I have published stories for Youth Today, the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, and the Local Initiative Support Coalition. Today, I write donor-focused reentry stories for the Center for Employment Opportunities, feature stories for the Collinsville Daily News, and report on dining and the restaurant industry for Forbes. When I am not writing, I work as a bartender in Brooklyn, New York, where I live with my wife. As a young boy, I truly believed I’d be writing comic books, sci-fi movies, and stuff about dragons by now.
